EMDR

How can EMDR help?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help people process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. It works by using guided bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—while a person briefly focuses on difficult memories, allowing the brain to reprocess them in a way that reduces their emotional intensity. Over time, memories that once felt overwhelming become more manageable and less disruptive. EMDR is widely used to treat trauma, but it is also effective for anxiety, depression, and other mood-related concerns, helping clients feel more grounded, resilient, and in control of their thoughts and emotions.
